About

Wavetrain at a glance

Wavetrain Systems AS was founded in 2009 with the aim of providing secure and affordable level crossing safety by ease of installation, use and maintenance. The Wavetrain technology makes it possible to detect trains directly at a level crossing with all components normally located within 15 meters. The Wavetrain solution significantly reduces installation and life cycle cost whilst retaining the required quality and security at the crossing. Wavetrain is ISO 9001 certified and the system is end-to-end CENELEC certified to SIL2 by Lloyds Register.

WHY Wavetrain?

Railway authorities worldwide struggle to reach their goals regarding safety at level crossings. How can they find a good way to reduce risk at level crossings? There are several forums and arenas in the European railway sector where the authorities meet to discuss various types of approaches in order to mitigate risks at level crossings and implement good systems and solutions. By promoting international co-operation and embracing new technology, railway authorities can save time, money, and human lives.
Level crossings represent the single biggest risk factor for the railway authorities. There are more than 1,250 accidents and approximately 330 casualties in Europe each year connected to level crossings.

This is where the Wavetrain Systems Level Crossing Warning System can help to save lives and mitigate risks at level crossings.
